The ad has already been removed, so a bunch of people must have flagged it.

Sorry for your inconvenience, Serenity. Been there, had my pics stolen a few years back. Get your own, you &*%$#@ bimbos! Not like such shenanigans don't come back and bite your butts hard.

I hate thieves and liars. A lot easier to be honest so you don't have to keep track of the deceits you propagate. They just pile on.

I'm sorry that happened to you. However, this does not meet the criteria of an alert as it does not represent a specific threat to the members nor unfortunately does it fall outside the realm of normal risks of the hobby. As such I'm moving this to Coed for further discussion.

I don't normally take issue with a mod's decision publicly, Spice, so forgive me, but how does this NOT merit an alert? Since when did stolen pics fall into "normal risks of the hobby?" If someone else is using fake pics belonging to an established provider, wouldn't that be a risk to the gentlemen here? The person may be a cop or even another guy hoping to lure someone into a set-up that could become dangerous. At the very least it puts a fellow's wallet in jeopardy. When did scams become a "normal risk?"

My apologies if I am speaking out of turn, but burying this type of thing in Coed with the Hobby "fluff" doesn't seem appropriate, either. Gentlemen post alerts when someone steals their handles. A provider who has her image stolen is losing her visual identity, and her reputation can be severely impacted by the imposter's actions. That is alert-worthy.

Hi Fancy,

No problem with checks and balances whatsoever, mods "work" for the members not the other way around. I'll never have an issue clarifying, examining, or reversing anything I've done if need be. In this matter though I do see your point but fake pics do not qualify. I'm unable to share specifics but there has been a definitive ruling on exactly what qualifies as an alert and what does not. I'll quote for you my post from a week or so ago where I clarified it as best as I am able to do given the restrictions mods must operate under.

Basically, the Alerts forums are reserved for those situations and circumstances which fall outside the typical risks and interactions associated with the hobby, which of course there are plenty. Things which don't represent a harmful threat or things which happen frequently do not qualify. It's an elegant and simple litmus test.

There are examples provided but I'm not at liberty to share specifics of staff discussions nor is it really necessary. I'm sure we can all come up with a thousand examples of scenarios which are just a, for lack of a better word, "normal" risk of being a part of this thing of ours.

Suffice it to say that it's clear this case does not meet the criteria. I'm not saying it's not useful information to share, just that it doesn't belong in the Alerts forum.

Anyway, I hope this clarifies it.
I think we can all agree that fake pics or stolen pics do not represent a harmful threat in and of themselves and it's also not an infrequent occurrence unfortunately. It is troublesome to the person who had her pics stolen and useful for her to inform people about, but the Alerts forum is not the appropriate place for it.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.
