Traffic alert: I-45 S. near Hardy Toll Road closed all weekend.
I have a client stuck in traffic and already over an hour late (he and I are communicating by phone), so I checked the Houston Transtar map to find that all southbound lanes of I-45 coming into town are closed for construction this weekend and traffic is being diverted to the feeder. BIG danged mess. Looks like a "mini cloverleaf" is going in, probably to accommodate the huge Exxon facility opening soon in The Woodlands. More closures on future weekends will no doubt take place as this is a major ongoing project.
Just thought some of you might want to know so you can take an alternate route, or leave extra time coming into town for Saturday night fun. I have to go home to the Irish Chihuahua Refuge later, and there will be delays heading north, too.
