Your "implication" is that LE only does investigation for the purpose of prosecution. That is simply not the case. And another statement you made "implies" that local LE works independent of the Feds. That is also simply not the case. The relationship for the most part is ... locals have the tech skills with respect to computers and the Feds have the internet/equipment capacity to facilitate the exploration of people's phones, laptops, and computers from a distance without being detected. With respect to the latter DHS resources are available to local LE. Historically both do "illegal" activities that are prohibited to citizens; meaning illegal to citizens, but not LE.

The biggest threat is simp CK allowing client RW information to be shared on his site, that site is filled with drama hooker's that thrive off that, they don't last in a review website where they can be called out, they come here and quit and head back to OH2

It is odd that you think there was implication in my comment that you quoted.

If there was a suspected criminal activity, there would be an investigation that would be conducted without the suspect's knowledge until such time a decisions would be made to either continue or drop. If continue the server itself would be seized via a warrant and the law would investigate in their own lab. The site itself would not be up at any capacity and those trying to access it would get things like error 404 or some placeholder message, not some message saying a DDOS attack was going on.

FACT (this is for you LL since you do not know how webhosting works so get your Big Chief Tablet out, and your oversized #2 pencil ready) A site is hosted on a server which can host the 1 site or many sites. Usually that server is in a DataCenter that either a hosting company rents space and servers at. Or the Hosting company owns the entire data center. Either way the operator of the DataCenter monitors data traffic into and out of their center and provide basic security for their clients or if it is the hosting company's DC they do the same to protect their servers.

Such protections set up defend against DDOS, IDS, hacking, and other levels. DDOS can be thwarted in many ways. Because OH2 does not have a valid CERT which pointed out costs less than 100 bucks makes me believe that something else is going on.

A DDOS might have been used but the ways to thwart them generally stop them after 1-2 days.

I have a serious question for the cyber security dudes out there.

With this attack on OH2, can the hackers place a virus on your personal device?

It appears my accounts have been compromised and it is evident someone has been in my email account. I have been having fraudlent card charges on accounts that I don't carry in my wallet and am currently fighting my third round of fraudulent charges with another account. This has added up into the thousands at this point.

My computer acts strange, popping up alternate windows to sites that I am browsing and I have tried running virus scans that do not remove this. I think there is a trojan horse. I am not a cyber security specialist, but something is going on here.

I ask this because when you go to login into OH2 and many have said to bypass the warning and click advanced, it says hackers may be trying to steal your passwords.

Can OH2 be the origination of the security issue? If there is a trojan, how can it be removed? My virus scan doesn't remove it. Does this presumed trojan only affect one device? Any help would be appreciated.

So I did some quick google research and theoretically this could probably be the case.

I don't know if this is where my issue originated from specifically, I just have a hunch. I have warned others in the past about the privacy breaches on OH2, and now I also feel it's fair to warn others about the security of your devices.

I am currently working to resolve the issues I am dealing with and if there are any cybersecurity gurus that have advice, I am all ears.

My cloud computing account was hit with several instances. I was locked out and had to verify my identity with a notarized affidavit. I got back in and the date the account was accrued these charges began in mid February, when these attacks began. I have apparently financed a hacker's joyride.

Don't use your personal devices for the hobby... Hobby 101. Chances are you also watch porn and disregard other things. So more than likely you picked that up elsewhere CK

Just use the app "Puffin" it does charge you $0.99/month if you use it a lot. But it's free for most. It's also encrypted. So that's nice.
I've been logging in just fine. I don't like that the clicking is a bit off.... so you may click something you didn't mean to click. But otherwise, you can see ads, post ads and send messages.

Let's stay on the topic of OH2.

Device security when browsing hobby sites is a valid connected issue.

IMO, unless you have decent IT knowledge, use top of the line device security software. For hobby, a separate handheld.

As for OH2, they were hit by multiple DDOS attacks.

Ok, back to regular programming...
