Talking Attack of the Killer Worms

Just walked out on patio to check out the weather. With yesterday's rain, I counted at least a dozen worms on the patio. By this afternoon, they will be dried up and crispy.

Not much choice if you are a worm. Drown or Crispy!

Finally got light. 500+ worms and some mole crickets in the bottom of the pool. Pool vac. getting a work-out. Glad pool guy comes on Thursdays. He gets to clean the worms out of the pump strainer!

I guess it was something with the moon or the temperature. I got exactly the same scene in my backyard and pool. That was disgusting!

One good flock of southbound birds fleeing the coming cold front would have taken care of the problem, but then you'd be pooper-scooping for a while.

I think they prefer the sunbaked ones, vs dive bombing a pool.

I may be wrong, as usual.
