It's a gift. It should not come with any strings or expectations.

If you like the client, keep the coat. If you feel uneasy about accepting it, let him know, and discuss this with him.... or simply, return it.

Either way, I think a topic for discussion for you two should be one regarding boundaries and expectations...because if you don't squash any misconceptions now, you might as well start planning for butt-hurt fallout, because it sounds like it could be heading your way.

And even if it's not, and the guy was indeed, sincere in giving the gift, it never hurts to make sure you're are on the same page.

That said, I feel sorry for all of the cold bunnies hopping around now....brrr!

That's why I have chihuahuas to keep me warm, and their coat is still attached to the rest of them. They drape well.

My friends know that anything fun and furry that comes through my door is appreciated in the condition it was born in. Before we make this thread into an animals rights issue, however, consider that rabbit is quite versatile in recipes and does taste like chicken, as do a few other critters....
