These have been extremely popular in Brazil for decades. They call them "motels" because typically the couple will drive in, pick up a key at the gate on their way in, and pull into a private garage with direct access to their room. Very private, and quite reasonable in price. At least that is what I am told. I, of course, have led a very sheltered life, and would have no direct knowledge of such carryings on.
