Default RIP to my best cuddle buddy

Today I had to say goodbye to my best friend and best cuddle buddy. Many knew him as the coolest un-catlike cat ever. He never met a stranger. If you happened to enter his domain your lap was his property, and a tummy rub was not so much accepted, as demanded.

His health has been declining for some time. In April he would have been 15. But last night his breathing became labored and ragged. I took him to the vet this morning, but all efforts to ease his breathing failed. His temperature began dropping as he lost the ability to regulate his body temperature. So, with tears in my eyes I cuddled with my buddy one last time and said goodbye to him.

I may love many pets in my lifetime, but none will ever be like him.

Stacy, you have my sympathy. I know what it means to lose a pet - it's like losing a family member.

Words can not express the sorrow in my heart for your loss.
Just hope that you can find a little comfort in knowing that he is now in a better place.

Sorry for your loss. Furry critters are the best friends and love us even more than we love them.

So sad. Special bonds are formed with pets because they love you unconditionally. Sorry for your loss Stacy.

I have never understood why our pets don't live as long as humans do when animals offer us so much unconditional love, friendship, acceptance and trust.

There is nothing any one of us can say that will take away any of your pain, loss and sadness you are feeling right now.

I can only say I am sorry to hear of your loss, and hope that your grieving period does not last long.

Time Heals All Wounds (until then)...

If you are in need. I made the decision to take my four-legged friend here in July when he passed away. I was more than pleased with the level of care and concern they extended towards me, my pet and the loss I was experiencing. I was a mess, and there were a bunch of older women that took great care of me. That is my final memory of my little guy, and it is a good memory. The place listed below really made his passing much easier to deal with.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Pets are harder than people sometimes.
