Thumbs down thankgiving shopping

Anyone else boycotting shopping on thanksgiving? I am making it a no shopping day to give those workers time with their families. I hate shopping anyway and won't do black Friday either.

All my shopping will be as it has been, on line. Avoid all the hassles, crowds, and attitudes.

Thanksgiving shopping?? NO WAY! I won't even go out on Black Friday. I will not be with the crazy people getting those rare deals. I have even worked retail on a Black Friday & nothing is worth it to me.
This year is different! This Black Friday I will be stress free hanging out with some new friends enjoying some body glides and BLS! WooHoo!!

I boycott Thanksgiving all together, I think the Native Americans got screwed. So I don't drive on that day, don't watch football, don't feast, and especially don't go shopping the day after.

Ice T said it best:
But I don't celebrate bullshit Thanksgiving
Sit up like some fool and eat turkey
That's the day your forefathers jerked me

Thanksgiving day is for seeing relatives, eating and watching football. I won't say which is my #1 priority.

I will avoid the store on Black Friday too. Starting my shopping this week.

For many years I worked for a very high end kitchen/home retail store. For us, the week leading up to Thanksgiving was the busiest time of the year, and the day before, was our Black Friday. One year, I remember two very well known "ladies" were fighting over our last $50 bottle of Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla. Their voices were carrying throughout the store. I was on my way back to break up the hubbub, when I saw one of the ladies toddlers stand up from the seat. The mother wasn't paying attention to his pleas to take him to the bathroom. He fell out of the basket, feet over head, and landed on the concrete floor. The poor little guy puddled himself too. Ambulance came, other than getting knocked out, and a slight concussion, he was okay. But the mother insisted on buying her bottle of vanilla before she followed the ambulance to the hospital. I comped the freak'n vanilla just to get her out of the store and attend to her child. I, and everyone else who witnessed this, wanted to punch her.

I'll be at my ranch just outside Cotulla, bow in hand, as far away from the hustle and bustle as I can get!

Thanksgiving shopping, black friday and cyber monday spur activity that turns our economic engine into a high performing machine. If not then those employees woudn't have a job to go to and no way to pay their bills. Hell yeah I'm shopping on those days! Where esle can you see the scum of the earth fighting over a chinese made pice of crap appliance for $12? Only in America, baby!
