This is a little personal but I feel the urge to write...

I had been seeing someone for the past few months but they didn't live here. They visited about once a month and things were cool until we actually hung out. Then something changed...

First it went from, "I really like you and it kind of scares me" to a text this morning, "I'm sorry I wasted your time, you're an amazing woman, I'm just not ready"

UGH!!!!!! And I actually liked this guy and put off other potentials for him. I just don't understand. He obviously doesn't know about the hobby, but from his perspective of me... I have my own place, my own car, I take care of my body, I'm funny and cool to hang around with, what more does a man want?!?!

Oh well. I was extra peeved this morning but now I just feel more amped, like I can take on whatever and can't wait to show him what he's missed out on.

Assuming that his age is somewhat close to yours I suspect its due to lack of experience and confidence in himself. My sister sounds very similar to him. Every time somebody got too close to her she'd get scared about committing herself and found some reason to "move on". If that's the case here you're better off moving on. Later in the relationship his lack of self confidence would probably lead to later problems.

I have to agree with Philly on this. After meeting you, he most likely got cold feet. There are a number of guys that don't know how to deal with confident women that know what they want and go after it. As disappointed as you may be it will be better for you in the long run.
