Once you cross the rainbow bridge maybe 5 miles tops.
But those are Canadian Miles....
1 American mile = 1.609344 Canadian Miles

No more than a 15 minute drive now that summer is over.
30 minutes during tourist season.

Thanks guys. Might be going to see a provider there. I hope I didn't put this in the wrong category.

Directions: After Rainbow Bridge, continue on 420, exit at Dorchester Rd, turn right at Lundy's Lane.

Just a minor hijack - but it's related. Your opinions are welcome, do people prefer the Rainbow or the Peace Bridge? Thanks, let us know.

I come from the south and crossing at Peace Bridge i get to go mostly straight line at thruway speed up the QEW to NF. If i stay on US side i have to go through Grand Island and Tolls (these can back up quite a bit) so i tend to go with Peace bridge.

Coming back if there is traffic at the crossings Rainbow is better. You can take side roads to get to the Duty Free shop. It exits right onto the bridge and bypasses a lot of traffic. Not much backlog on other side of the bridge. the same trick at Peace bridge doesn't work unless it's REALLY backed up

Depends on how heavy traffic is.
During tourist season best to check Bridges conditions.

Inbound to Canada, I use the Peace Bridge. Faster for me and the customs people are easier to deal with. Coming back I use Lewiston-Queenston. They have fewer pricks at Customs than the other bridges and I hit the reservation on the way home for gas and cigarettes for friends. If I change my routine, it throws up a red flag, and I'm sure to be questioned about it. Big Brother IS watching. For Lundy's Lane, I take the QEW to McCleod Rd, turn left at the exit and go to Montrose, turn right and go to Lundy's Lane.

That's a good question Perryay. I have heard many different answers, but I suppose it all depends on where you are coming from and where you are going. Technically they should all be the same as far as Customs and tolls are concerned, but I am sure everyone has their preferences for whatever reasons. The only bridge that would be different would be the Whirlpool bridge in the Falls. That is for locals with Nexus pass only I believe.

I have Nexus, so I always come back from Toronto or NF via the almost-deserted Whirlpool Bridge. I do not use the Whirlpool Bridge to go to Canada because I have not gotten around to depositing some money in my Nexus account for the toll. Since I typically go over to NF on a weekday during the day, the Rainbow Bridge usually works fine.

If you are thinking of getting Nexus, there is now an additional incentive. You will automatically qualify to become a TSA-Pre traveler. I recently used it to fly out of BUF. Going through airport security, I kept my shoes, belt and jacket on, and did not have to take out my laptop or fluids. Coming back from overseas, I can also use the much shorter Global Entry lane.
