I've actually never hobbied there. It seems that most of the highly rated girls there are really touring from Texas....so might as well go to Texas. Really my lurking on Birmingham boards has never caused me to think 'Ive got to have that' or 'I could never get that in KC'.
If by 'safe' you mean crime, the actual city limits of Birmingham are a hell hole. But it is surrounded by nicer suburbs.
Sammy's is a real 'Gentleman's Club' though - valet parking, dress code for the guys, bathroom attendant....and by my memory, some of the sexiest women I've ever seen.
If you fit in with a younger crowd, the place where all the beautiful people hang out is called Botega's...lots of young, rich and sexy snobs.
If you're more part of the older crowd, the premier place is called 'The Club', but you'll have to have a suit coat.
If you're looking for a tourist spot, I recommend Vulcan statue.
Or you could take that motorcycle to Oak Mountain State Park south of town.
Btw, traffic in Birmingham can be much worse than KC, so keep your head on a swivel.
