P411 bumped again....
Just curious what everyone's thoughts are...
I saw that P411 bumped rate for 3rd year in a row (for guys). No clue how it works for the gals. Been a long time since I really needed it but I always kept it current but finally decided to pass. More out of principle then the $$$. Over a 100% increase in 3 years?
Again I recognize the value for both sides involved but it certainly seems like they are being overly mercenary especially since there actual cost has fallen significantly over the same time frame...

Sorry to hear that as it's been a great tool for me since 12/2006. No charge back then and as I'm rarely logged in there, I don't subscribe to any pay services. Frugality has taken over. :-)

I joined as a life member of P411 a few years back and it has paid for itself already in lack of aggravation and wasted time on screening. If you do travel it is indispensable as Ecce is not everywhere. Good example is California where Redbook is the leading site and using Austin providers (as an example) as references can be difficult.
Also as providers retire you loose references, but with P411 the okay's will do for most providers. So no loss in future references.

One thing I just noticed is a gal who's got a comment that you can use a credit card to buy gift points and pay for her services that way if you want.
That actually scares me more then anything if it's correct. I'm not an attorney so I'll freely admit my knowledge is less then absolute here...but once you become a part of an illegal transaction you lose any and all protections based on an international locale (look no farther then online gambling for precedents).
From my imperfect understanding of the various laws involved your now in the realm of federal crimes involving illegal wire transfers. I'm not aware of anything that would protect them from scrutiny on a US court order once they crossed over that magic line in the sand...
Again this is an educated opinion, not a legal rendering....but it's concerning that they appear to have gone from a valued screen service to actually facilitating the exchange of funds for services if I'm reading this correctly....very scary.

RockerRick, even if the lady leaves P411 the okay still stays. Now the new provider can't contact the previous provider but the okay number's still stays. A lot of providers just require the number count only, although others still want to contact a few previous providers which will still be active. Either way it is a lot easier and less time consuming going through their site to set up appointment as far as I am concerned.
The one thing about P411 is I have seen some of the listed costs higher then what is listed here, but I then just follow up with a private message letting them know where I found them. Easy as Pie!

Not true Vivianne Moore split and it just disappeared . And the other ones providers can no longer contact . Rendering them outdated and useless . Not to mention ones that change account and handle .

Rockerrick, re-read what I wrote. The provider may not be available for contact, but the okay does not disappear. Like you stated you used p411 twice a month so there should be active providers that still can be contacted. The bottom line is the number of okay stays the same if the provider leaves or not. There are about six providers that are no longer listed on p411 that I have seen but the number count of okay's stayed the same.
It does not matter if you want to use p411 or not if the provider is no longer in business there is no contacting them. But you have an easier time through p411 when a provider is no longer in the business based on previous interactions (okays) with p411. So your argument does not hold water.

And I'm telling you Vivianne Moore quit and my ok disappeared and it came off of my count . It depends on how much the provider wants to have their handle gone . And some people will find it easier , but I usually shoot a text or pm and that's it , they know who I am , and are wondering why I haven't contacted them before. And that's here , SA , and Houston . It might be easier if I traveled out of the area , but I'm not paying 130 a year for what if's .

P411 is not of great benefit to me, mainly because I don't hobby outside of Texas. In the last 6 months I have used it maybe twice to contact a lady.
I'm keeping it because I like to know about visiting providers. I may not renew when the time comes.

I have never had that happen to me, strange. Besides that is just one okay, should not make a difference.
If you are so worried about the extra $5.5 per session it cost you to join p411 and you don't hobby out side of the Austin area, then yes quit p411. But for a lot of others who like the ease of p411 and do Hobby outside of Austin then it is a Great deal.
To each their own as they say.

If you want, give me your P411 number and I'll check and see what pops up for you, rockerrick. Even if ladies have left and taken their handles with them, there is still SUPPOSED to be a box showing up to other providers that says an okay was given on such and such date but that the former provider's info is no longer available. It is still a vouch and some ladies might take it into account.
Would I? Not without doing some other homework first, but as long as you have a few recent okays, you should be good to go for most providers.

Tan historically I've always felt it was a great service and well worth supporting for mutual peace of mind.
