Yesterday my daughter again asked why I didn't do something useful
with my time.


Talking about my "doing something useful" seemed to be her favorite
topic of conversation.



She was "only thinking of me" and suggested I go down to the senior
center and hang out with the guys.

I did this and when I got home last night I decided to teach her a
lesson about staying out of my business.
I told her that I had joined a parachute club.



She said, "Are you nuts? You 're 82 years old and you 're
going to start jumping out of airplanes?"
I proudly showed her that I even got a membership card.



She said to me, "Good grief, where are your glasses! This is a membership to a Prostitute Club, not a Parachute Club."



"I'm in trouble again, and I don 't know what to do... I signed up for five jumps a week." I told her.
She fainted.

You know, I looked into skydiving a few years ago, but the guy on the phone said you had to go in a tandem harness on your first jump with them. The jump sounded like fun, but I just wasn't comfortable doing it with a guy strapped behind me the whole time. You might want to read the fine print on your contract before you head out for your first jump it could end up being a little awkward to say the least.

biggest adrenaline rush EVER!!
i did the accelerated free fall outside of Salado.
11,000 ft with no tandem.
2 instructors falling right beside you (not attached) and a photographer with a helmet cam.
4 of us stepping out on the struts of a bi plane, and 7000 ft of free fall.
thats enough time to shit yourself, wipe your ass and shit again!......I KNOW!!

not sure of the name, but its just south of salado .right off I-35. on the north bound side next to the valero gas station. they give you like a 5 hr class before you can jump.
i doubt they let anyone do a Halo jump their 1st time around...lol
