Default Excellent, Eye-Opening Speech

Sad, the ones who really need to hear this won't listen. It proves the point of the speaker. But this is truly an awesome speech.

I think you posted that one before; the opening lines sound familiar. It is thought provoking.
If we're posting greatest hits, here's one of my favorites. Reagan fans just call it "The Speech."

I don't find it a particularly well written or delivered speech, but I do agree on some of the issues.

- Drug Policy: Yes, it's pretty sad that we have our prisons now overcrowded with people there on minor drug charges. Of course, those people will now be corrupted by the prison experience and won't leave (if they ever do) as rehabilitated members of society.

I do disagree with the speaker's assertion that most drug dealers are just guys trying to feed their families, though.

- Prostitution: Being on this board, this should be a non issue for everyone here.

I stopped watching at about 5 minutes. There's just too much raving without any real substance for me. Sadly, he started off decently with the points about drug use, but he's just ranting about hypocrasy now.

You should listen to the whole thing. It gets better. But at least you listened to part of it before criticizing it. And the criticism is fine. Yeah, I had trouble with the drug dealer caring for his family, too, but when he compared them to politicians, the metaphor held up a little better.

Yeah the point is a little over the top but valid. I don't think anyone in the US (other than heads of large corporations or lobby groups) really trust politicians these days other than maybe on the local level.
