Loving advice for short notice bookings
We live in a fast paced world. We can shop for shoes, talk to our family, and watch porn all at the same time.
Email is a constant, and usually much easier than picking up that darn phone and using your voice to talk to another human. I get it. Really.
Emailing someone to check availability is great. We love letting you know what we have that day. The problem we run into is the lag time between the email letting you know what's available and the reply email asking for a specific time in that availability. Even if you reply IMMEDIATELY, the phone may have rung on this end and the provider is busy booking the one that CALLED. Then we get back to our email and there you are expecting a time that, yes we did say was available 3 min ago, but someone called and beat you to it.
On a personal level, we very much dislike having to turn anyone down. Especially someone we JUST told what we had available. You have to remember this is still a business model. What would you do in your business? You would have no idea that person you just emailed was going to reply immediately. It's not just the one email we have to look at more often than not. ( For example, I have 2 emails, P411, eccie PM, text, and phone.) You're going to take the sure booking from a phone call, rather than sit there and wait on an email that may never come. It's just not smart business. I've found many can get offended if they don't get the time they wanted when dealing in email for short notice. It's kind of a waste of an offense. Please understand where we are coming from. Just pick up the phone and call real quick. No big deal. Please don't get offended if the time you wanted is taken before you can book it if you are dealing in short notice emails.
Thoughts, comments and suggestions from both sides are very welcome.

Short notice for me is a couple of days. Typically, if someone I have seen before I call. If a new lady, I usually PM.

Thank you Kayla. I too have been having a rather difficult time with this. Just make that quick call guys. It secures a session.

Yes, emails are great for a day or two in advance, but short notice almost requires a phone call to reach me immediately if thats what your wanting. I require a phone call before I see someone new anyway. To get a feel of you and your demeanor.

I hate phone calls in the P4P context. They're much less discreet than email or texts, and I always feel awkward on the phone. Even more awkward than in person. Although i've done it a few times, I hate, hate, HATE calling.

But I don't consider "I'm available" as a commitment and didn't get offended if the availability disappeared by the time I got back to her. If she got a firm offer in the (usually very brief) interim, I expected her to take it.

Not directly addressing the e-mail issue but: I see ads that say "No Text" but if I am at work, text is the only option 99% of the time. I can sit in the office an schedule and appointment and confirm when I am leaving the office.
Sometimes text is better than voice though I agree voice should be an option when getting close to an incall (two call system).

I'm with Chevalier on this one. Plus, I use GV and try to keep the calls to a minimum. That said, I know the risk of email or PM vs a call, so I'm not the least bit bothered if I can't get the date scheduled.
This is one reason I liked the Short Notice thread that was recently closed (again). I found that the ladies who posted there generally monitored their emails or PMs, and I always managed to get ahold of the woman if I was interested.

Great advice Kayla, I hobby on short notice far too often due to a crazy work schedule, I am sure I have missed a few opportunities to play because of just what you wrote.

I agree 100%, also going back to the text thing, Sometimes a three hour text conversation can be easily said in a span of a three minute talk. There is nothing more frustrating than texting back and fourth for hours and end up with nothing set at the end. A lot of time wasters love to text!
Overall texts are fine but at a minumum as well!

Though it may come as a surprise, it is probably doubtful that a significant number of potential clients will read this threAD.
Since advertising in many venues and through whatever means is deemed desirable, you might consider clarifying in all of your advertising that phone calls result in a faster, more definite path to appointment confirmation. And, you might want to add to any email or text correspondence that your availability is subject to change if you receive a phone call before the correspondant's reply and include your phone number.
But, since there are as many business models as there are providers, it is up to each hobbyist to navigate as best he can through them. It's a great thing that there are a number of ladies who provide reliable and quality service in our area.

Really? Next thing you are going to tell us us that you are sexually ambidextrous.
Ok. Seriously. I have run into that lag on emails and missed an opportunity or two. I usually ask if text is ok in the first email. I can then coherently convey my request. Otherwise water damage to my cell phone is imminent as I drool heavily while you speak on the other end.
