You go girl! Remember, if you put fewer calories in and burn more calories than you put in, the weight will come off. Drink lots of water, reduce your normal portions by half and pick up a chair and put it down and repeat until you're out of breath. Then do it again after a while. You can add multi vitamins and calcium with Vitamin D. You will see about 3 ponds a week come off pretty regularly. Walk some stairs for cardio. Best of all there is sex: http://www.inflexwetrust.com/2012/07...tain-sex-acts/
Give up sodas, candy, junk food and alcohol if you can to remove a lot of calories from your diet.
Good Luck!!

Bree,
Good luck to you! I have used Atkins off and on over the last couple of years, and when I eat according to the plan I consistently lose. I'm down about 60 lbs from my high and have managed to keep off what I lost. In addition, eating that way really controls my appetite and my cravings.
I find the hardest part for me is I get lazy and rushed when it comes to meals. But with careful planning and some preparation I manage pretty well. Need to get back on it and lose some more.
I also am aware of a couple of forums that support folks eating that way; PM me if you're interested.

Low carb diets are probably more important than actually counting calories. Also, eating 3 evening spaced out meals, especially breakfast, keeps the metabolism going.
Actually diets used by diabetics are probably the healthiest for everyone. BTW Atkins is a lowcarb diet, along with South Beach.

I hope it's the modified Atkins and not the original. All protein is pretty difficult to sustain. I have found that staying completely away from wheat is the best thing for you. Wheat has been so genetically altered that it is not good for you anymore. Read the book Wheat Belly. Also stay away from soda, even diet, and caffeine. Caffeine is an appetite stimulate. I can also suggest a really good protein shake that is 100% whey protein isolate and has only 3 grams of crabs per serving. It's called Unjury and can be purchased at unjury.com

That book is not accurate at all, Forget what you read in it, as it is wrong.

I don't think I'd buy any shake that has any crabs, let alone 3!

many protein shakes have well over 20 grams of carbs most of which are sugar carbs. Carbs aren't bad if they aren't sugar carbs.
Gotta disagree with you farmstud. I know it goes against everything that a farmer believes in, but the genetically altered wheat that is grown throughout the majority of the US in no way resembles the wheat of even 30 or 40 years ago. Wheat itself is not bad, just the genetically altered, faster growing, dwarf wheat variety. Too bad very few grow unaltered wheat. I've lost almost 80 pounds since I stopped eating wheat. When I do slip and eat wheat I feel sluggish for the following 2 or 3 days. It's just nasty what science has done to a lot of our food.

Hobby, the author of Wheatbelly is selling books, not facts.
Like most things, it is the processed foods that cause most of the issues. Not to say that some people aren't allergic to wheat, but most of the studies about food are not very accurate, and are designed more to scare people and sell books than based on facts. Eating all things in moderation is really the key.
