Well, it is to capture people's interst and inform, entertain, teach or amuse them. It allows folks who wouldn't read a blog to view it or listen (in the case of a podcast) to it. It is a lot of work to make it look professional and interesting.
One thing is if you aren't willing to show your face, it is likely to not be too engaging. Your video quality is pretty good, but most people have to script what they shoot. It is the rare talent that can just do it well off on the fly. If it were common we would all be Spike Lee!
It could be a real difference maker for you if you can make it work for you and interst clients, but it is likely to be a lot of hard work. Good luck and I think it is kinda cool you tried it!
