Talking Our Fluffy Children!

I'm genuinely curious about what kind of pets we own!

D
oes it say anything about our character? or do you simply put up with that counter-part due to a significant other? or is it the love of your life?

What kind of pets do you have?

I have 2 kittens and 2 bunnies.
The kittens are adorable, but my room-mate really wanted cats.

However, these are my joys (They are Lion-head Rabbits):

And the kittens:

I live way out in the country; just recently moved from another house, way out in the country...my nearest neighbor is five miles away...

And for some strange reason, same as the house before, I seem to attract stray rabbits; you can tell they were domestic rabbits people turn loose in the country...they show up at my back door...

Thankfully for them and me; I enjoy building them neat outdoor houses and playpens, and then parcel them out to very very well screened friends and friends of friends...

And I enjoy keeping some of them; I never name them, just number them; I am at Number Ten now...

A certain Lady on this board knows all about Number Nine....

I have 2 German shepherds and a cat ad some fish. I recently had my beloved lap dog of 11 years disappear from my backyard and I am still crushed and devastated from it. I am in the market for a used small dog now. LOL

2 mutts, one Pomeranian with a heart murmur and 2 cats (one indoor and one 27lb back-yard ornament that meows). A part time possum.

Sorry for your loss, sue_nami. I recently lost a dog friend of over 12 years, so I can sympathize. My dog died, and it's different when they disappear, because there's no closure. I've had that happen to.

Either way, when you've had a furry companion for that long, and then suddenly they're gone, it takes time. You keep feeling like you'll see them around the next corner, even though you know you won't.

I'd recommend Austin Pets Alive if you're sure you're ready for a new friend: http://www.austinpetsalive.org/

The rest of you, enjoy your fluffy children while they're here. They energize us in ways we don't always realize, and sometimes we take them for granted.

I don't want to say specifically what kind of dog I have, but he is truly my best friend. I love him with all my heart. I rescued him, but I think he rescued me as well

I love both dogs and cats. I currently don't have any pets, but I am fostering a couple of cats who are temporarily on the street.
