Default Contact Categories?

Is there a way to organize contacts into different categories? For example, I'd like to keep all Dallas girls in one category. As it is, all contact I add go into one large list. I can create new folders for private messages. I'd like to be able to do that for Contacts.

Put a list of php links into folders for each city.
Create your own alternative .

I'm not seeing how this is supposed to work. I can create folders for messages, and I can move messages between folders. But how am I supposed to do that with contacts?

On any provider's profile page, I can pull down "User Lists." When I do this for a provider I want to keep track of, I get 2 choices - "Add to Contacts," and "Add to Ignore List." What I need is the ability to create new User Lists. So instead of just getting "Add to Contacts," I can choose "Add to Dallas Contacts," Add to Houston Contacts," etc. All I have now is "Add to Contacts," and all contacts go into a single (huge) list.

Well, that would be one good way to do it within the existing structure. But I do like Mastermind's idea to be able to organize the contacts accordingly. Customizable by base city, skill set, etc. I use the CP notes for some things, but I have been making folders by name of the provider

To my knowledge, this is not available at this time. I think rockerrick has the best idea I have seen so far.

You can also save and organize links of showcases of providers that capture your interest in various bookmark folders in your browser.
