Default Solution for Porn Virus's?
Ok , I admit from time to time, I will check out some Porn. And I got a scam or Virus that shows an FBI screen saying I violated some law, and now they have locked up my computer? However, if I pay them $200.00 they will unlock it in 48 hours??? Has anyone else run in to this scam, and have any information how to get around it? ( Yes, I know i could pay the fine and not watch porn anymore!) Any other advice out there.......?

I haven't seen that particular one, but my ex- used to get similar annoying pop ups from games sites of all things (bejeweled, ect).

I found the easiest and most effective thing was to do a quick system restore to a few days before, then run a virus/malware scan. Got rid of that problem every time.

Google it and follow the directions. I got the same thing and I think I just had to delete it from my processes in my task mgr. They wanted more than $200.00 from me

1st do not pay the fine... once you give out your CC info to the site.... you will lose your identity.


you will need to do this

it might need you to boot into safe mode with networking, so you can go online and get some removal tools if you do not have a safe pc... and edit the registry......

I have removed about 30 of these from clients (I work in IT) and do this sort of thing over the internet...

I would offer to do it but you would have to be a client of my company.

Cnet, is a good place to look for free Anti-Malware programs, or trial versions, I suspect you have a Malware problem.

Get a Mac or a IPad, had a Mac since 1984 and a IPad for the last two years and never once have gotten a virus.

Getting rid of malware on a Win Pc is harder that chinese arithmetic.

I have had great results with ESET anti-virus, they have a free online site which will scan your computer. and they don't cost much for the regular software.

I got a different sort of malware that resulted eventually in my computer being unbootable. Webroot SecureAnywhere turned out to be SecureNowhere. I got a new hard drive and Windows 7 64 Ultimate and went back with a fresh install and now use Norton Internet Suite and have had no problems despite surfing porn harder than ever. I was able to hook up to the old hard drive with an adapter and retreive all my data. Replacing Windows Vista 32 Ultimate with Windows 7 64 Ultimate made my computer SCREAM.

Much easier way to fix the problem

Reboot in Safe Mode.

Click on Start and Type" Resstore Point" in the box above the Start Button

Select "restore my computer from to an Earlier point in time"

Takes about 15 minutes
