Garlic and onion, with cream cheese in the middle and I eat it like a sandwich, no open face.

Fresh warm bagels need no toasting, save that for day two! For a real NYC (pricey) experience, a fresh seeded bagel, go all out with lox, cream cheese, thin slice red onion, and maybe tomato and capers! Thanks for this thread homie...hell with haters!

Contact your nearest synagogue and ask to speak to the rabbi or another highly compensated employee of the congregation !
Also try calling Chabad, it's an outreach organization of shlichim or chasidim, black hat wearing observant Jews who try converting bacon eating tribesman into a mensch !!

Warm , not toasted, cream cheese, hand trimmed smoked Salmon, red onion, tomato, a few Capers. Doesn't get better then that!
There was a fabulous deli in Cliffside Park, NJ, that had the best bagels. They smoked their own Salmon, and it was sliced and trimmed upon order.
The Best!!!
The alternative is toasted with Cream Cheese and Grape Jelly.
