Name dropping - Hobby Cred
So today a recent reviewed provider tells me she is going to see a "buddy" of mine from here; dropped eccie name saying was his friend.
I have brought up this issue before and it peeves me to no end!
First, unless I've met a fellow hobbyist in person, or another hobbyist is personally known by and can be vouched for by "my friends", then I didn't give any credibility.
Two, anyone who does get a "voucher", will have been given a code word known by me and the provider only. No code= Full of shit!
Just thought this an interesting topic especially given sensitive nature of the nature of site.
An unsuspecting provider can have a really bad day if she gets caught up in "name dropping" with no support basis.
Thoughts and feelings?

I would recommend no back channeling. That might solve it.....
Additionally, if a lady is being presumptuous about "knowledge," SCHOOL HER, OR WE ALL MIGHT GET BUSTED!!

go to "User CP" on left side near top. look for "Settings & Options". you can do that in one of the settings. errr crap I forgot which one. I think its "Edit Options". type in the title you want.
edit: one would think the number of times I went from Valued Poster to Premium Access and changed it, I would have it down pat. errrr just poke at it. I learned form poking around.
