I'd say that some guys realize that if they add one name to the list, the other ladies he might be seeing could possibly get a little hurt or mad that he didn't mention them.

Well what happens if the other ladies we might see because our favorite is busy does not live in KC? Unless this was a post for Best of KC and Kansas board. I took the OP meaning just ladies living in KC
