Cindy Gallop hosted a TED talk where she unveiled her site "Make Love Not Porn". The idea came from her realization that an entire generation of kids are getting their sex education from Internet porn, and while porn may be awesome it isn't very educational.
Example: not all women enjoy cum on their faces, and not all men want to cum on their partner's face. If you learned about sex from porn, you may think that facials are a regular, normal part of sex.
She is creating a site where people can upload videos of real people having real sex -- not "amateur" videos of people looking to make their own versions of porn, but real sex. It is still in beta testing and isn't live, but it sounds interesting.
What do you think about the educational value of porn and the need for explicit sexual instruction?
Porn has little educational value. Its good for what it is, but you can't learn about sex from porn. This reminds me of the movie the Girl Next Door, great movie, but sex education needs to be in your face. Society as a whole has a short attention span which is also why porn is soo successful.
Yeah, but the problem is that without any real sex education in school, and with parents who freak out about sex and imagine their "little darlings" having wild sex parties if they learn about it (remember the "Rainbow Parties" scandal from a few years ago), kids have no other exposure to what sex should be like.
About 15 years ago, I heard a British guy say that he was dreaming of coming to the US so he could have some "American-style sex". He had seen American pornos and thought that's how we did it over here.
I think it would be a great idea to have a site that says "Hey kids, porn is great. But it is fiction. Real archaeology isn't like Indiana Jones. Real police work is nothing like CSI or Bad Boys. And real sex is nothing like porn. You want to know what real sex looks like? here you go. It looks more like this..."
As far as oral goes- I have never been interested in COF or COT, I don't really see the attraction init- but each to his own. I am a a fan of CIM- if that is OK with the lady. I love porn and I guess I look like a porn star but I don't want to do porn like activities regularly...Some things are better to watch and maybe try with someone special, rather than a random person or provider

So much of porn just looks uncomfortable. Positions that look good on camera don't look like they'd be very fun. Like that spooning position on a couch with the guy against the back and the girl in front of him, almost falling off the couch and bracing her leg on the floor, with the other leg straight up in the air. Plus in porn the people often don't even touch each other, besides crotch to crotch. Some of the best sex I've ever had was with our whole bodies pressed up against each other as close as we could get. You almost never see that in porn, since it doesn't look like much on camera.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't say I ONLY like porn style activities, babe! I'm just saying I'm a lil more open minded when I've made a real connection with someone, whether in eccie dream land or "real life". But I'm very much a skin to skin contact kinda gal, as well...
As for not touching in porn, well...the porn I BUY that turns me on most has plenty of intimacy and touching...guy grabbing the girls hips, rubbing her ass, pulling her hair a little, holding back her hair while she performs bj, etc...those are all examples of touching, imho. But I agree, actual full on body contact does not look that great on porn, unless it's a SUPER F'N HOT scene by the chemistry of the stars of in it!
