Yeah, pretty annoying. Times are tough, they gotta make $$ somehow I guess.

Firefox with NoScript and ECCIE forbidden seems to kill them, I just have to remember to Allow when entering a reply or new post.

If running firefox get adblockplus

http://adblockplus.org/en/

It is free and will stop ALL popups.

Don't shoot the messenger!

This is the intended behavior:

If you're not logged in, and browsing as a guest, you will get the popup when you visit ECCIE and then click on a forum. Simply close it and it won't come up again for 24 hours.

If you're logged in to your account, you might get the popup when you first log in, but you shouldn't see it anymore.

However, if you block cookies or have cookies cleared on a regular basis, you may repeatedly get the popup, since it doesn't know you've already seen it today...

I am curious why Eccie would sell space to Eros. Are they not competitors in some sort of fashion?

Did Eccie sell out to Eros?

Not shooting the messenger, but it's incredibly irritating, especially for a site many pay for. Please let the owners know this.

Sorry Z but none of this applies to me. I am logged in. Don't clear my cookies very often, though I should. I may get the popup 3-5 times during a single visit to eccie. My visits are getting fewer and farther between due to this...

Interesting .... I'm seeing none of this (and happy about that, as it would annoy the hell out of me). Win 7, IE9 in private browsing mode.

DH, if you are on an iphone, are you using the mobile site (m.eccie.net)? I"m not seeing this problem there, either. Again, I have the Safari browser set to private (or whatever their equivalent if called, I don't have it in front of me right now).

Settings have to have something to do with this.

Try Firefox with popups turned off, including eccie popups. The only eccie popup I like is for PMs, and I can do without that if necessary.

No Fratelli , I'm on the desktop , as the mobile site doesn't let you zoom , only use mobile for showcase and rates . I will check my browser setting .

I never get it on my Win8 desktop. Got it all the time on Chrome on my phone. Getting it occasionally in another browser on my phone. I don't see any pattern.

It's definitely gotten worse. I don't remember it being an issue until recently. It would sure be nice to have it back to the way it used to be.
