LT
Forgive my using a link
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...orarrest050610
For the Sports Fans (or those that grew up in New Tork) among us this may be a bigger story than for others & the facts are still coming out, but I'd be interested in reaction to this quote from a "news story/opinion piece"
Quote:
This will cast LT in a new light, although who knows how old all the other prostitutes in his life were, how those encounters went down. Prostitution is a nasty business, mostly a crime of intimidation and abuse that is a long way from how the movies depict it. Taylor was always allowed to joke about hiring women though, even saying he’d send working girls to the hotel rooms of opponents the night before Giants games in an effort to “distract” them.

One of the few times that the excuse all the do-gooders use comes true. Human Trafficking, that all prostitutes are forced into this business against their will. This a a tragic story for all involved. For the runaway girl, for her family and for Taylor and his already tarnished legacy. The pimp ought to be strung up right along side of LT. The fact that they exploited a 16 yo child is simply inexcusable.

Not to defend LT or anything, but I've met 16 yos (and younger) who know and act like 32 yos. The statutory rape law is lost on them and should not be applied. A lot of states don't even extend statutory rape to 16 yos. The pimp bothers me a bit...too many unanswered questions.
But where would you fall in this issue if she were an independent?
And considering the thread on "Stats," what if she were 16, had an ECCIE page that stated she was 19? How much confirmation do hobbyists here have that some providers are not younger than their stated age, especially when it comes to the age of majority? Does ECCIE screen for this?

I think it is sad that a girl that young could act like a 32 year old woman. I automatically think of a childhood that was lost because of having to survive. I am involved with a woman's group that has a few young women. To hear the stories of what they have gone through is so sad. My gosh I wish I could take them home with me, but that just isn't possible. It is amazing how a few unconditional kind words and a hug goes a long way with them. At least for the time we are together.

Good on you!! Nothing better than kind words in the face of adversity. It may be hard for someone facing adversity to believe the kind words, but persistence pays.

Interesting question Prince C, I would hope that IF I ever got into a incall situation with an underage lady like this, my radar would go off and I would require checking her ID for proof of age. Since I make it a habit to only see ladies advertising their age at a minimum of 30+, I would think that situation would never occur. But it is certainly one more thing to keep in the back of your mind.
In any event, given LT's history and reputation, I truly hope they throw the book at him and he's put away for many years. Not some slap-on-the wrist fine and community service, and the girls pimp should be right there with him. Child exploitation is a HUGE problem for me to see past.

Atlcomedy asked the question in a RTM. I believe that it is important for the members to be reminded of the policy here so I will answer this question in my words. It is not open for discussion so I will not reopen this thread. This is truly one of those areas that is not flexible as far as the staff here regards it.
The topic of underage sexual activity is simply not allowed here. Regardless of what it is. It is neither condoned not allowed on the eccie site, for a number of reasons. Once you allow anything in this area where do you draw the line. We have simplified that answer and we simply do not allow it AT ALL. You can go round and round on this, but the bottom line is this is the way it is, and I am sure that the vast majority of you will understand our position if you look at it from the point of view of a staff member.
take care and have a great weekend
