Default Obama Ignores D-Day - AGAIN!

For the third straight year, President Obama has ignored the passage of D-Day, the turning point of WWII in Europe. Close to 5000 men lost their lives that day in our march to rid the world of Nazism. This is an outrage to their bravery and memory.

http://www.whitehousedossier.com/201...memorate-dday/

God Bless the memory of those brave men, and God Bless all those who stormed the beach that day.

What? Odumbo didn't apologize to the French for invading their soil in 1944? Odumbo didn't apologize to the French for introducing foreign, Anglo-American terms; thus, usurping French culture and language? Odumbo didn't apologize to the French for Americans bleeding and dying on French soil? How dare he!!!

Let us not forget that 70 years ago this week three American aircraft carriers, supporting ships, and thousands of men set forth to stop the Japanese fleet with five aircraft carriers, support ships, and the super battleship Yamato at Midway. Luck, courage, or American determination won the day.

We had broken the military codes of the Japanese navy and knew that Japan was on the move. A trick revealed that the push was on for Midway and an airbase to use against Pearl Harbor. The hastily repaired Yorktown, the Hornet, and the Enterprise were all the stood between the United States and the Japanese. The American navy attacked first with torpedo bombers. Large, slow planes that had to fly straigth, level, and low in order to hit their targets. American fighters got lost and the bomber crews attacked without escort. Every single torpedo plane was shot down with a loss of all but one pilot. Three squadrons attacked in two swarms which pulled the Japanese fighters down to the sea. This is where the late arriving dive bombers found the Japanese fleet. With aircraft arming and refueling on the flight deck the Japanese fleet paid the price with three carriers seriously damaged or sinking as the American dive bombers left the scene.
The Japanese counter attack left the Yorktown damaged, on fire, and heavily listing. Japanese pilots reported the ship sunk but never underestimate the American sailor. The fires were put out, the list corrected, and the ship was underway when another attack from the Japanese put the Yorktown on the endangered list again. The Japanese thinking they had sunk two American carriers were surprised by the survivors launched from the Enterprise sank the remaining Japanese carriers. The crew of the Yorktown were working miracles to save their ship when a gas explosion doomed the valiant vessel. The crew was forced to evacuate to allow a surface gunnery to sink the Yorktown.

The Japanese never conducted offensive operations after this battle and the US was on offense the rest of the war.

It's amazing. I have never heard the queen express any views on anything ever. Yet here she is, and i think she is giving an extremely insightful view, although her phrase 'grabbing services' may not be the best way of putting it, given her situation.

Obama has no appreciation for the heroic history of our nation.
Those that still remain form that era are not enough to win him any votes so he doesn't give a fuck.
It isn't about him so why should he care.

The military members and family care, and they hear the loud silence of Obama on days like this.

Default while there, the eternal footman held obama's coat, and snickered

i think obama went to san francisco, that virus sitting on the western edge of america which seeks to take charge of america's operating system to remake it in it's own new and better way, for a fund raiser.

Good question. What was Romney doing? Answer: the same thing as President Obama. Raising money. And, since we're talking about honoring the military....Romney's campaign was also ignoring requests for comments regarding the four draft deferrments he received during the Vietnam War. You know...so he didn't have to serve? He must have been taking pointers from Dick Cheney on that one...I think Cheney got 5 deferments, right? Both chickenshit, silver spoon in the mouth bluebloods who didn't have the stones to pick up a rifle and stand a post during wartime.

This same tired shit about D-Day comes up every year, ginned up by the repuke echo chamber. Educate yourselves:

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/arc..._06/024150.php

By the way COG, the turning point in the ETO was at Stalingrad. Not Normandy. You might want to talk to the Russians about that....you know, the country that sustained 95% of the battle casualties in the European theater during the course of the war.

I am certain that when the next June 6th comes around; President Romney will honor the ocasssion with more expression of thanks, patriotism and pride than Obama. If he doesn't Timmyboy, you will be free to comment here. But I doubt you'll have much of a case to make because President Romney believes in the Exceptionalism of America.

You can take that to the bank !

Everyday is the anniversary of something that happened in the past. No matter what you do, someone is going to feel that you slighted the memories of whatever it was.
