Obama Employment Record - Worst Ever
Well, another look at statistics, which really means no one knows anything. All you have to do is look around and realize we're in big trouble.

The oil bid'ness and our real estate didn't hyper-explode like the East and West Coasts. Although Obama did do his best to tank the oil business after Macondo.

Do you know how many deep water rigs there were in the Gulf? Do you know how many years there have been deep water rigs in the Gulf? Macondo was one spill. Do you know the safety records of Exxon, Shell, Chevron, Conoco-Phillips, Total, Petro Bras, Maersk, Stat Oil, Anadarko, well you get the idea? I'd say the spill to no spill; death to no death ratio speaks for itself. Obama, shut down a multi-billion dollar industry that employs thousands and thousands of vendors because of political reasons. If he didn't do it for political reasons, then he's too stupid to the POTUS; he impacted billions and thousands of families because he no idea what business is or what it is about.

It only takes one to fuck up a lot of coast line and lives.Oh they don't count on your scoreboard. The rigs in operation were not shut down,They only took too long getting regs in place to prevent another. So they could continue deep water drilling.

It was nigh over a year after Macando that the permits were released. If that’s how long it takes to get a few regs into place, then the Obama administration is truly inept. Two deep water rigs (Someone correct me if there were more.) sailed during the moratorium. The deepwater rig market is so tight that you have to order a rig six months or more out and still that doesn’t promise you a rig on the date you want it. Each deepwater rig employs 1,000, that’s a 1,000, vendors. How many families do you think that supports.
The spills in the Gulf are as follows:
1979 – Ixtoc – Under Mexican authority – Estimated Max Released 480,000 tons
2004 – Taylor Energy Wells – Under American Authority - Estimated Max Released 109 tons
2010 – Macondo – Under American authority – Estimated Max Released 627,000 tons
2010 – Baratarina Bay – Under American Authority – Estimated Max Released 43 tons
Here’s the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oil_spills
I think Macando and Ixtoc (No one knows what happened here. The operator scuttled the platform in 6,000 ft of water because it was a “navel, navigational hazard”.) are the only deepwater spills. I know they are the only substantial spills. Either every other American president, including Bush the First who was in office during the Exxon Valdez, hates the environment, was playing pure politics and has no business acumen or Obama has no business acumen and was playing pure politics. It’s one or the other.
You live in Kansas: another red state. He doesn’t care about you, the citizens of Kansas or Kansas. Hell will freeze over before a Democratic presidential candidate or president running for re-election, will ever carry Texas or Kansas for that matter. Beating the shit out of the only healthy economy in the United States in the midst of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression played well in the rest of the country. That’s all.

I always enjoy seeing the opinions of the mid-westerners intense knowledge of the offshore oil industry.
If it were not for horizontal drilling and fracking on PRIVATE lands the oil industry would have shut down in the US and we would have the 9 buck a gallon gas that Obama wants.
It is sort of like him saying we only have 2 percent of the worlds oil. This is an out and out lie.
If it were not for the oil industry and the work on private lands unemployment in many of those states would be close to that of the highly urbanized areas.

Do you know how many shuttle launches there were before we found out about bad O-rings? When you identify a major safety issue, you fix it.
