We Won In Iraq, Didn't We?
Yes, democracy and freedom are breaking out all over in Iraq. Gone are the days when the government could round you up and kill you for no reason. Damn, we did a great job there. Mission Accomplished!

How 'bout that neo-conservative idealism? The gift that keeps on giving.

You think neo-conservatism doesn't have anything to do with why we're in Iraq? You're dumber than I thought.

No. I don't think that is why we are in Iraq. Obviously we were there to end a tyrannical regime and replace it with a constitutional democracy and freedom. Weren't we?
Frankly, I am offended that we spent so much money and lost or injured so many people just so the Iraqi government can be just as repressive and corrupt as Saddam was.

I think you have some anger issues. You might try some medication, and possibly therapy. Trust me. You'll thank me later.

Good lord, your tired old anger issues statement again? Can't think of anything else to say? And, by the way, when I made some statement a while back about you being off your meds, I got a warning from the moderators. I'm assuming you'll get the same but we'll wait and see. I don't think the mod likes Obama much but maybe I just have a persecution issue.
I'm not angry at all. Couldn't be happier with the situation. You have idiots running on your side. I know you'll say they're not on your side, but we all know they are and that the reason you say they aren't is because, unlike some of the other morons on the boards, you're just smart enough to realize that you don't want to be publicly aligned with those idiots, it saves you the trouble of trying to defend their indefensible positions. Does that just about cover it?

I am not a Republican. I do not identify with them, they are as corrupt as the Democrats. My political beliefs are most closely aligned with the Libertarians. I have already changed my voter registration back to Libertarian. I only registered Republican so I could go vote for Ron Paul.
Quite frankly, I would expect very little difference between an Obama administration or a Romney or Santorum administration.

It absolutely mystifies me how any thinking human being could make the statement that there would be no difference between an administration led by Obama and an adminstration led by Santorum. Truly, what alternate universe do you live in COG? It is really irrefutable evidence that you are completely disconnected from reality.

It would be different in style, but the same old corruption would continue, and the ruling elite will remain the same. You have to start looking past the sound bites, Timmy. They are more alike than you realize.

You may hate to hear this but I voted for Romney yesterday so that this will come to an end. We need to get on with the job of removing Obama.
As for Timpage, I find it very interesting that when you look up what a classic liberal is idealism is a prominent word. So I sense some double speak here. Timpage, you can't have it both ways... or maybe you do.

If you are not a Republican, why were you at a Republican caucus in Wichita, Kansas yesterday? You said "the guy is not all there," but you damn sure were!
You can run from the Republican label but you can't hide!

Let me answer for COG; as a conservative were do we find our candidates? The democrats? They ran all of the moderate conservatives out with Zell Miller. The libertarians? How about never winning another election? No, the only place where conservatives still have a home is in the GOP and every year we will get stronger until it is a conservative party the way the democratic party is the party of progressive socialists.
