Default AG Holder Lied! He Knew About Fast and Furious

This guy needs to resign, at the very minimum. I'd even support charging him with perjury. How could this happen in America?

It's established fact, now it will be up to Republicans to push for a Special Prosecutor.

Holder lied and people (Mexican and American) died. Sound familiar but this time it's true.

If you look at the entire cabinet, it is obvious that the star is Hilary and she has made some horrific gaffes. Geithner, complete disaster. Holder, no one else in history is as bad and that does include John Mitchell. Napolitano, complete joke and should have been fired long ago. Chu, energy secretary that knows nothing about the energy sector. (I am in energy and he is a complete joke.) Sebelius, in charge of graft and corruption as HHS. Salazar, Vilasak, milquetoast and do nothing. Duncan, wasted another $500Bn. Individually and collectively, it is difficult to think of a less competent cabinet in the last 50 years. Kennedy's wasn't very good. Carter's was bad. But this one is appalling.

Well, pre-Kennedy, most administrations had reasonably good cabinets, especially Truman. Kennedy brought in the eggheads but had Rusk as Sec of State. Rusk was/is considered the weakest Sec. of State in the last century by historians. McNamara thought he could run defense like an accountant which explains most of his decisions. He appointed his unqualified brother has AG. Johnson, on the other hand, had a very good cabinet. As did Nixon, excepting that I personally did not like or trust Kissinger. I didn't count Ford due to his short tenure and he essentially kept Nixon's cabinet except the aforementioned Mitchell. Carter's cabinet were pretty much like Carter, forgettable. Cyrus Vance as Sec of State for two years was amusing though. Griffin Bell as AG was a disaster.

Reagan's first cabinet is possibly the best overall after he replaced Haig with Schultz. Weinberger was exceptional at Defense. Smith, Block and Schweiker were outstanding (Schweiker was a Democrat and Reagan picked him for HHS. He was very good). Any cabinet that contained George Schultz and James Baker is better than average.

Clinton's cabinet member for the most part, while liberal, were at least competent managers. (at least the major members) Espy would have gone to prison for corruption but died in a plane crash. Christopher and Albright at State were exceptionally weak but Clinton fashioned himself after Kennedy and decided he would be the state department in the white house. Reich was by far the smartest and extremely liberal Labor Sec. I have great respect for him but do not really agree with his politics. Reno, she was his fourth choice, was weak and not really qualified but managed to be competent.

GWB's first cabinet was decent to good. I did not think Ashcroft was strong or qualified. Rice, Powell, Rumsfeld, Snow, and Thompson were exceptional.

And NO, I am not a Republican. I am an economist and historian and libertarian though.

CORRECTION: Ron Brown was under investigation and was killed in a crash. Espy was actually tried for accepting bribes. He plead not guilty and was acquitted. In the most ironic turn, two companies actually plead guilty to paying him illegal bribes. One of those companies, Sun-Diamond later got a reversal. The other company was Tyson Foods, a large Clinton supporter.

Not only was this a blatant attempt to backdoor our 2nd amendment rights by trafficking weapons into the drug cartels hands then blaming the American citizen for the situation. This put lives at risk in doing so and I blame Obama, Holder and their ilk for doing so.

And to top this all off there was the verifiable death as the result of one of these trafficked firearms, an American Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Holder has never shown any remorse over this nor has anyone in the administration anything more than pay tacit lip service to the passing of this man. I find this completely despicable! Holder is directly responsible for this man's murder and should be prosecuted for it and all other high crimes associated with the program.

Do not tell me Bush did this before as an excuse. Yes Bush did have actions that were similar. However, he worked closely with the Mexican government, Holder didn't even inform them, and no one ever died as a result of Bush's program!

I will also remind all those you are anti gun out there. Exactly what other amendment is there that protects your first amendment rights better than the second?

As for past cabinets (since the subject won't go away) let's not forget Hamiliton "Hamm" Jordan of Jimmy Carter fame. His raw style rankled not just DC personalities but foreign dignitaries as well. Though never proven, it was widely reported that he was a frequent visitor to the Studio 54 in New York City and participated in all manner of hedonism.
Another winner was Warren Christoper. As Deputy Secretary of State (for the Middle East) he advised Carter that the Soviets would not invade Afghanistan, to force the Shah to allow Khomeini back into Iran, to cut off aid to the Shah, and that the students would not occupy the US embassy in Tehran. All very bad advice with long term consequences. Christopher was promoted to Secretary of State under Clinton where he did his usual fine job. It was Christopher who failed to convince Clinton to act when 1 million Rwandans were slaughtered.
Like Dean Acheson, Christophers mistakes caused death and destruction for many thousands of people. Acheson speaking of US promises of defense neglected to mention South Korea in a public speech. North Korea invaded on the pretext that the US had abandoned South Korea.

When speaking of the various cabinet officers we can't forget the anonymus Czars like admitted communist Van Owens, the Green Czar. As the green czar he had to have been involved in the Solyndra decision.
