I had not seen
Dangerous Beauty for a long time... but recently did so again. Aside from being beautifully filmed and showing a wonderful sense of humor about sexuality, it turns the role of the women in our community upside down.
The soliloquy at the end, when a courtesan of Venice faces down the inquisition is breathtaking int its power, focus and clarity about the role of passion in our lives- and what happens when we suppress it.
And she says more about GFE than all of our conversations will.
Add to that Catherine McCormack's graceful lines and expressive face and voice and I think it expresses perfectly what brings me to the hobby.
