Finally made it to Metairie...
Now, can anyone suggest where I should go eat dinner? I am starving! I know some of the best food anywhere is right here in NOLA but I don't want to go to a tourist trap so to speak. Oh and I eat everything, not afraid of food and love to try new things.

If you like steak Mr. John's on St. Charles. Everything I know is French Quarter area, in MEtairie... there is Andrea's off Causeway. Acme Oyster on Veterans, for oysters and fried seafood.
Whatever you chose - ENJOY!!!

In Kenner, next to Metairie, on the corner of Veterans Memorial Blvd & Williams Blvd, is the Brick Oven. Very good Italian. It had a 10-ft Statue of Liberty in front of it.

Thank you Dallas. There are so many choices. I may have to stay a few extra days just for the food.

Not going to get any better than Acme Oyster on Veterans, you can get steak anywhere but your not going to get seafood like this except here.
