Has anyone gone to any swing parties around KC? My gf and I have been talking about checking one out. Please share positives and negatives.

I don't know if you'd call it a swing "party", but I've been to Club Erotica a few times. It is run out of a private residence in eastern KC, near The Legends. Attendance varies a LOT from week to week. It is a nice big house with a variety of rooms, both public and private. the basement is done up as a party room with a dance floor with stripper pole and a number of beds tucked away behind curtains.

The host does allow a couple of single males in (their entry fee is what pays the bills) so sometimes you get a creepy lurker or two, but you can always decline any advances. Some people are there to perform, others to interact.

My biggest beef with the place is that there are a number of roommates or friends of the owner who are always there, hanging around. They don't participate, they don't even really interact, but they are just kind of there.

The other problem for me (well more for my dates than for me) is that they don't really even get started with the party until after midnight. Yeah, they are open earlier, but I've gotten there at 10 or 11 before and had to just sort of sit in the kitchen with the host and hostess and maybe another couple until enough people arrive to make it worth moving to someplace more interesting. The last few times I went they had free shots for any ladies who were topless, so there was some good energy going (drunk naked women), but things didn't really get interactive until close to 1am.

You don't have to be invited. If you are a couple and you have never been there before you will need to call and talk to Poker and let him know you are coming and get the address. If you are going as a single guy, you definitely need to call him every time and ask if you are welcome. He limits the number of single guys based on how many couples are there.

As far as looks, it totally runs the gamut from stripper hot to overweight 60 year old housewife (and comparable descriptions for the men). I'll never forget the time I walked in and saw this amazingly hot blonde going down on her boyfriend and a few other guys -- and then three weeks later saw her working as a waitress at a bar I stopped in at. She didn't recognize me and I didn't say anything.

Go check it out with your girlfriend. It is free to take a tour and to stay only costs $30 for a couple.

Never been but always have wanted to. I refuse to go by myself so it may be a while until I find the right girlfriend to try one out It sounds like these parties can be hit or miss, but just the experience must be exciting.

I've had good experiences with The SPOT. Club Erotica wasn't to my liking.
