Default Moving Back to SA Need Contractor for Trade Work

I'm going to be moving back to SA TX soon and will need a contractor to do some minor work in a place I'm going to be renting. I don't want to spend a lot since I will be renting, but I have approval from owner to do what I want. Was hoping to find a gentleman who is a contractor or "very handy" guy who would be willing to do some work in exchange for trade of services since I won't have a lot of money when I get there, but I need to set up a room to work out of. The room is partially complete already. Please pm me if you would be interested in talking to me about this.

How much would it cost to switch a hot water heater over to a tankless hot water heater including the part/labor for a 3 bedroom home 2 bath, and shop sink in garage?

Tankless water heaters are not worth the money in the end. I recommend that ou stay with a tank unit. But if you must, I would guess around $250.-$300.

Tankless water heaters are the best bet actually. Ive installed hundreds of them, (err my plumbers have) Im an builder. Cost to do what you want will likely exceed $900. You can use gas fired or Electric. Either way your gonna need an electrician to bring 220v or a plumber to run gas pipe, so there's an extra $500-$600. But a GOOD tanked water heater installed is still around 5 bills. it is IMPOSSIBLE to estimate costs without a looksee, and it's likely that you have thousands in desired improvements.

Good Luck, feel free to PM with any ????'s

Totally agree with Biggy on the last sentence of his paragraph.

Thanks guys I appreciate the input! Yes I think the house does need some money put in to it. My friend inherited it from her Dad and he did little to it. It is a nice home and if I can stay there when I get back to TX I wouldn't mind helping her fix up the few things that still need fixed. She is disabled and has very little income, so I'm hoping I can help her out some. Especially the hot water heater needs to be replaced as she tells me right now it's dangerous, but she is afraid to ask any county programs for help as they might make her leave the house if they don't have a program that can replace it for free
