Default Presidential Policies

Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt had the “Square Deal”

Franklin D. Roosevelt had the “New Deal”

Barack Obama has the “F**king Deal” (Thanks Joe for summing it up for the rest of us).

Joe Biden's comment in that environment just shows how much class the Obama administration lacks. God help us being led to the cliff by this pack of fools!

obama's playing for the "long game" according to this analysis on him.

this guy is like the Teminator, you might knock him off a bit, but keeps on going.

Dilbert, you know that is a very liberal website, right? Of course they are going to paint a rosy pic of him. I still contend that when his single term is over and people look back, he will be viewed as one of the worst presidents in history.

I knew it was a liberal website, didn't know it was one of those "very" types.

I wouldn't call this article rosy tho, its more like "hopeful". article suggests that there is an "angst" about Obama's intentions, is he gonna stay on track or jump a track or 2 and go in a different direction? like they're going "ga ga, koo koo" over where's he's going with some things. He's definetly a Yo-Yo president by some of the comments hes said to have made.

I find it interesting that the writer thinks obama may be a "transformative" president like FDR & Reagan. Well, we shall see. the problem with his notion of a "transformative president", for that to work, you need a majority of people who are ready for transformative policies. Its just not happening here in terms of support, given the amount of deception that was involved.

He's an upgrade from his immediate predecessor. McCain was not.

I agree, but i think McCain was an upgrade as well. Sarah Palin, on the other hand. . . .

McCain in 2000 was great. Then he sold his soul to his party. Palin was part of that sale. They're all thanking him by running a teabagger against him in the primary.

History will tell, but invading the wrong country after 9/11 and running 2 wars on a credit card seem pretty easy to improve on.

@ juan

Yet, if one were to exam those “credit card receipts” closely, one will find many children in congress (including Senator Obama - who keeps saying it was everybody else’s fault) were putting candy in the basket while papa Bush was shopping for essentials to support American soldiers called upon to execute American foreign policy. The real bill might be considerably less had Bush been allowed to line item veto congressional pork projects attached to necessary defense spending.

I suggest one also read Why Intelligence Fails by Robert Jervis to better understand what compelled Bush and others to resume hostilities against Iraq.

Up grade my ass. Where do you people think all of this money he's spending and proposing to spend will come from. There are only so many of us working and paying taxes which means there will have to be tax increases. Those of us working can't support all of those who choose not to. It's a shame how few pennies are left out of a dollar after taxes these days and to think it's only going to get worse. I'll be glad to see the election results this fall and am looking forward to the end of the "one term wonder". I only hope we can recover from all of the damage.

I still say the POTUS should not be our main target for criticism! He/she can't do dick without a willing Congress! (that inclues GWB!)
- 2 Term Limits for both Houses of Congress
- 28th Amendment , stating no legislation ever becomes law, that doesn't equally and completely apply to government employees as it does the tax paying citizens.... and vice/versa!
- End of lifelong pensions and Preferred Health Care benefits for Congressional Members!
- If Social Security is good enough for the general population.... it's more than good enough for all the Millionaires leaving Congressional Jobs.
- Campaign Reform.... BIGTIME.... using CLEAR , SIMPLE LANGUAGE!!
- Every Bill which comes before a vote in Congress shall be read in it's entirety on C-SPAN (and explained after numerous public hearings).
- Prison Terms for Congressional Members found guilty of fraud and deceipt with the public's money!

I could keep on going..... but the current CORRUPT EGOTISTICAL IDIOT in the White House is the least of my worries!! He is no-where near as intelligent as too many make him out to be!! He is a Puppet!! Chicago Politics are the Order of the Day in D.C.!!

Giz, you are my hero!!! I agree with everything you said but does the American public have the balls to turn them ALL out???? Unfortunately, I doubt it. Can we find enough true libertarians to run and get elected on fiscal conservatism and personal liberty AND responsibility?!?! I hope so, as it stands now I don't think either of the two main parties will listen to the working class. Not sure we are in the majority anymore. I hope laoilman is right in saying "one term wonder" but history says he has a good chance of getting a second term.

If you want to see where some of the money MAY be coming from check here: Cap N Trade You can google it as well and find many explanations of what may be coming if we all do not wake the F up.
