Default ISO a man to take me fishing

I am a tomboy at heart. I love to fish, camp, shoot guns, ride motorcycles, and do extreme things! I have been aching to go fishing for quite a while. I don't know where to go in or around Austin. None of my city boy or girl civilian friends like to do any of these things. I don't need a babysitter or for you to bait my hook! I would like to go with someone who I have seen bcd that I trust or who is a known gentleman. No funny business ...just two people going fishing!

That would be pretty cool actually. I haven't been fishing in years seriously. I have been wanting to go down to Corpus to go fishing lately.

As far as where to go in Austin? I have no idea, but I can find out.

You too huh? I have the same problem! I would go by myself, but I actually want to catch some fish! I dated a guy in college who was a serious angler. He had an awesome bass boat, and knew all the honey holes. We would go every weekend. Talk about fun...and stress relief.

Rekcasxt,
I was supposed to go on a mini vacation to Corpus. It's not going to happen now. ;( I have never been deep sea fishing. I would love to do that too. I have a hard enough time realing in a 3 or 4lb catfish though! I don't know what I would do if I actually got something big on my line.

I don't do deep sea... no way... too dangerous.

I like to fish from the piers. But like I said it has literally been years since I have gone fishing.

I don't really even care to catch anything. I just like sitting on the banks with the fishing line and my thoughts. It is pretty theraputic.

Rekcasxt, why do you say that deep sea fishing is dangerous. Is it as bad as scuba diving??? More people get hurt each year bowling than scuba diving. (As a fellow instructor, Nuglet can back me up on this one.)
Do agree with you on the theraputic values of fishing. Almost as good as sitting in a bow stand watching the world wake up in the morning!

BB, you could reel in pretty much whatever you can hook in the gulf. It just might take a while...

Gentleman; you are right. Most folks with think I'm BSing but this is true. When I became a Course Director, I used to take a glossy paged mag (the glossy pages hold up u/w better), something like Playboy, or Nat Geo, into the pool with me and read it on the bottom of the deep end of the pool. No phone, no noise (other than breathing), no outside disturbances.. A sensory deprivation thing. Sit on the bottom of the pool and relax. Or at lunchtime, go out to the lake for a 45 min dive. Makes a great mini-vacation. Very relaxing, and instead of fishing, I'd take a ziplock bag with hot dogs, or biscuits and hand feed the fish.. ah, I loved "some" of those times. That's also about the time I joined the 30 - 60- and 100 ft clubs... LOL

I should have made my point more clearly. Maybe it isn't as dangerous as I percieve, but deep sea fishing kinda freaks me out. When I think of deep sea fishing I think of fighting huge fish that can pull you into the water. That scares the shit outta me. I have always had a fear of large bodies of water.

I am ok with toilets, bathtubs, hot tubs, and most swimming pools. But the ocean is too much water. I don't mind standing on the shore, or walking in as long as I can see my feet. (Which on the gulf isn't that far) But out on the open water doing something that might end up with me in the water... nope!

I am even cool with being on a boat, as long as I stay on the boat.

Boy ain't that the truth Nuglet. Some of the most fun dives that I have had have been at night. And boy there is not anything much better than being on a 2 or 3 day overnight fishing trip on the ocean.

Freaks me out just thinking about it.

Water and enclosed spaces are my 2 phobias. If I ever get stuck in an elevator I might just die.

I would just be happy if someone would take me fishing off the bank somewhere around here! Nothing fancy...I just want to catch some bass or catfish. I am not sure when the fish start spawning, but I imagine it's here pretty soon.
