Seriously, economic warfare over exploitative natural resources is the current activity worldwide. Why should the US sit on the sidelines and watch China and Russia strip other countries of resources.

Trump's prior admin was actually pretty robust in its FCPA compliance efforts and desire to combat corruption.

Also a key reminder... bribing foreign officials is still illegal. Enforcement has simply been paused.

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is still on the books.
