The Ford Mustang Mach-E's sales have been slowing down, but the company is still trying to boost sales:
Sales
In 2021, the Mach-E sold 27,140 units, and in 2022, it sold 39,458 units. In 2023, it sold 40,771 units, which is a small increase from 2022. In the third quarter of 2023, the Mach-E sold 13,392 units, which was 57% of Ford's overall EV sales in that period. However, in January 2024, the Mach-E's segment share dropped to 17.1%, which was its lowest in nine months.
Price cuts
Ford has cut prices on the Mach-E to reflect the softening demand for EVs. The price cuts have led to increased sales, but some say that there are still concerns.
EV segment losses
Drill Baby DRILL!
Ford's EV segment, called Model E, is still accumulating losses. Ford expects to lose $5 billion to $5.5 billion in the EV segment for the entire year.
