I agree, social media sucks. On one hand, I am in favor of censoring being put in place to stop the spread of misinformation, and to prevent non-adults from having their brains rot, but that is at odds with free speech. Do your federal rights only take in to effect once you are over 18? In some ways, I think they should, but in other ways, no. It's a really delicate subject. All I can say for a fact is non-adults who are raised glued to a screen where they swipe until they fall asleep are going to be the worst generation ever. Zero people skills. Non-adults already got hit with covid and lockdowns - it's one thing for a non-adult to miss their last few years of highschool, but it is detrimental for younger non-adults in their development years lose that interaction.
It also lowers attention span. Think back to how everyone was over 20 years ago. The internet was a place that you went to, checked, read, maybe posted and commented, then left. Now, everyone is online. Always. The internet is always within arms reach. It's why shit-tok tiktok Chinese spyware is so popular. You can always scroll for more, because The Algorithm knows what you want to see.

Yes, surely, if we give more guns to everyone, then there will be a statistically higher chance of there being a Good Guy With A Gun nearby to shoot the bad guy. Surely, the bad guys can't disguise themselves as a GGWAG, nor steal the gun from the GGWAG. Is this post in jest? Setting aside the grammatical shitshow, it’s filled with glaring untruths. You can’t go pick up an M4 at Cabellas, these are HIGHLY regulated arms. Where are these thousands of daily killings happening? Sudan? Afghanistan? It sure as hell isn’t in the United States, where more people are killed with a Louisville Slugger than a long gun. I’d venture to guess the number of people killed every year with a weapon capable of burst fire or full auto in the US is zero, or something very close to it.

what rifles are those? i'd like to buy one except they are not for sale to the general public. it's .. wait for it .. against federal law. to possess an actual assault rifle you need a Federal Firearms License not just a background check

But if any of you ever shot a M-16 in fully auto would know you can't hit anything after the first shot. I have. After the first shot it jumps up in the air. It was designed in case you were pinned down you could just spray bullets at the enemy to try to get relief to get to safety.
So basically the same gun with the actual same killing capacity. Now after government experts after the NRA has giving them millions upon millions to lobbyists to have them declare they are not the same, because they are not full auto but they basically are the same with out full auto.
