Prostate Health
Muffy, I know it’s frowned upon to discuss medical health. If it’s agreeable, I’d like to open up the dialogue of experiences with dealing with bph symptoms. Recently I’ve been to urology for issues with early prostate issues… treatment was flowmax and cialis. For those that don’t know flowmax reduces the side of prostate for purposes of urinary issues, the trade off is it compromises your sexual experience. I understand there are natural herbs remedies that help. I’d like to ask what those that have similar symptoms do? I’m 47, and I’ve abused my body like an ol honky tonk. I dont eat right, I’m stressed, I don’t sleep and I need to lose 50 lbs. any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I recently had surgery in Shreveport for BPH called Rezum with really good results so far, least amount of sexual side effects, I’m in my late 50’s and I sucked at taking oral medication(flomax). PM me for more info.

Drinkindreamin, I believe you are just sharing and opening for discussion a subject that a lot of us older guys could benefit. Jus never suspecti or speak about the health of a provider.

So my experience since i been to dr. I got my prescription of flomax, I’ve taken it about 3 times. It helps with the symptoms of bhp and that would be multiple trips to rest room to pee especially at night which interrupts my sleep. For me it’s a pressure in my bladder. I’ve yet to try the cialis however I did rub one out to test after starting the flomax. Highly disappointed , climax was big , orgasm was a let down because that what flomax does is calm the prostate. I’m my humble opinion it’s a dick killer… at the moment I’m still taking it, but read where weight loss helps with reducing size of prostate.. I’m still figuring this thing out.

Make sure you get your PSA level checked, want it to be below 10, thank goodness the biopsy pain only lasted half a day, but the blood in urine/ejaculation(normal after bio) for a week freaked me out.

Since my last post I’m feeling much better about this… I use the flomax sparingly once or twice a week. I’m now getting random erections that I typically didn’t get before. I experimented with the Cialis. For me I was flushed, heart rate increased, honestly I would caution anyone that has any type of cardiac issues including high blood pressure. I really didn’t need the help but I was curious? For sure it’s a wonderful drug for those of us with dead wood. Think I got off 4x , typically I was good for 2x on a good day…. So there you have it. That’s my experience, I think YMMV treating individual ailments. Personally I think I’ll limit my flomax to once or twice a week and lay off the flowmax a couple days when I’m feeling the itch. As for the cialis , I’m not sure at this point. It’s going to require some research as it concerned me the first time. Hope this helps those of you dealing with similar issues.

Drink---- Thanks for the Flomax tip, I'll back off it now myself. Had been on it for bout 6 months and notice 'wood' wasn't as frequent, doc had given me script for Cialis but I'd hesitated taking it as I suffer from migraines... I did start with one a week/only 10mg, but starting breaking in half. This coming up in years (though glad to see them) makes it hard to motivate in the hobby!

I go the natural herb route, Cannabis specifically. It doesn't necessarily help with the flow problem but it does seem to help in the sex dept. As far as flow, eat more watermelon.

I've been on flowmax for years and I have Zero boner issues. Didn't know it was a side effect, I guess I don't have that effect. Don't get as hard as Fast as I use to, but figured that was my Age since I'm pushing 60

Actually flomax helps relax the muscles in the prostate and the opening of the bladder. This may help increase the flow of urine or decrease the symptoms. A side effect is low libido. Personally I still have the drive, I now have chubbys that I typically didn’t get before. For me the climax builds and you think you’re going to have this awesome orgasm but considering I’m taking the flowmax the prostate doesn’t contract like it should because it’s all relaxed for urination. Therefore your climax is robbed with little to no semen. So I take the flowmax once or twice a week until I feel like I might get some and I stay off of it a couple days. However this is going to depend on your age, how swollen an individuals prostate is and what results you need to pee and cum because honestly the treatment for peeing works against cumming. That’s were the cialis and viagra come in. As I’ve mentioned the jury is still out for me with the cialis? For me it’s more for a marathon fuck and I don’t see the hour girl’s accommodating that. That’s my experience so far.

I hope I dont get dinged on the age of this post but there are other drugs for BPH. My urologist put me on Uroxatrol. I call it MyRoxApeeAlot. It works for me. I dont get up at night to pee unless I drink a lot in the evening and it doesnt have any effect on gathering wood.
I've been down the biopsy road as well. Best things about that is you know whether or not there is an issue and they put your ass out to do it where not too long ago the biopsy gun was sent in with no anesthesia at all.
