Had not been to Lipstick in a long time but decided to check out the new VIP and hopefully track down M. She was not working and the quality of the other dancers was not great. One girl sat with me and gave me the lay of the land. The VIP area does not look any different than I remember except it is $50 entry now. Makes no sense to me. After some more convo I finished my beer and left.

The lack of privacy in VIP is killing the club. Most of the girls had one or two regulars who would come and take them to VIP, pay $3 or $400 twice, and the stripper's week was done, plus what else she would make from itinerant patrons who might step into the club every once in a while. Now many of the girls have run away because those regulars are not coming. Those who are coming are not interested in $50 to sit in an exposed area where they cannot do anything. The club took 5 steps forwards with the new chairs on the main floor. It took 5 steps back with the structure of the VIP. I know girls who quit in the last 2 weeks, and know of others who are looking for clubs to go to. Ultimately, however, there is a glut of Cuban strippers looking for jobs, and many clubs are practising discriminatory selectivity against them.

Otoh, otc is available for at least half of the dancers and more than half of the waitresses. Just hold firm and don’t let a few girls with gps shift the market.
