I didn't vote, because I reject the premise. Not only are the tests not needless, we don't test enough.

You can have Covid regardless of vaccination status. AND you are highly likely to not have any symptoms. There were doctors pounding the table saying the vaccination was not even needed because everyone had likely been exposed before the vaccine came out. Despite vaccination status, I'd say by now these same doctors well over a year later would agree everyone has had it.
TESTING is a major disruption to communities, institutions, entertainment, travel, and jobs. It is useless. It is a problem. AND it is highly inaccurate.

From 1 to 3 the argument gets weaker:

1. Get vaccinated
2. Wear a mask
3. Get tested

Perhaps a better poll is to ask: What do we need to do to eliminate testing?

What you and your Fellow anti-vaxers are saying, is because the Medical Community and Scientists didn't quickly come up with a foolproof plan to stomp out the virus, you all are going to pout and refuse to do a God Damn thing to help stop the virus. What's the problem with testing? Without a test you don't really know if you've got a cold, the flu or COVID.

If you know you've got COVID you can stay home and avoid spreading it to the aged and the unhealthy. If you yourself are aged or unhealthy, you can get a monoclonal antibody infusion. If you so choose you can take ivermectin. Soon you'll be able to pop a Pfizer pill that will dramatically reduce your chances of going to the hospital.

I agree with Chung Tran. We need more tests and cheaper tests. This is one of the areas where the Biden administration and the American health care system have fallen flat. Europe is far ahead of us on this front.

That said, I agree with you H&H, the antigen test isn't as accurate as we'd like.
