Lol, Head up re: Emailing with Providers

So I had a provider email me today responding to a cancellation. Problem is, for some reason she did a reply from another chain of emails of a different person.

Now I have always used a generic hobby email that just has a nickname. This genius unfortunately, was using a gmail account with his real name, a name that was not generic and using a simple search would lead to easily find out real info.

So not bright on the individuals part, and not bright on the providers part in unwittingly passing that info on to another person.

Also risky because you've also given the provider your real world info if she decides to become unscrupulous

Do not use gmail for hobby if on your primary hand com. Google and other social network systems actively try to link into your social network and contacts data. Those can be turned off, but most folks don't realize that, nor know how.

Not uncommon!

Two well known, current and former, providers come to my mind of who had their real names embedded in their gmail headers and I must confess I caught myself doing the same with gmail and Dropbox. It’s not hard to fuck that up with gmail!!

In any case I alerted both ladies and both changed the names!
