I have a JD. (from a state college, not Ivy League) So, you can call me Dr. EverybodyLovesFangFang according to Dr. Jill Biden's bush league interpretation of the usage of "Dr."

However, it is customary in the United States to use titles in professional settings only, but to identify real Medical Doctors in casual conversation to serve the public. Only a piss ant phony with self esteem issues would call herself "Doctor" with a mere PhD dissertation in some obscure discipline.
