Everyone knew last year the stock market was going down. Either you have no financial knowledge, no money saved,are stuck in a company plan that doesn't allow easy out,or desperate to elect the worst nominee in US history. The market went down because everyone sold. To leave your money in wasn't the right thing to do or honorable to take a loss. Start saving your money and invest some time learning about markets to do your own investing

If you are in it for the long haul and not a day trader, it largely makes sense to have left your money ride and not try and pull out or invest more on any given day.

This was true in 2008/09 and will be true again now.

There's no way us basic investment civies can beat the machines that buy and sell millions in split seconds. Just have your portfolio mix set up for your comfort level and let it ride.
