The losses would be even greater without all the new funny money.
If Trump had been around we could have avoided the Great Depression back in the 30's!!

What was your plan? We'll wait.
The problem about TARP, among other things, was the "shovel ready jobs" that never came.

quite true dilbert
the circumstances are different
the previous bailout was due to government and greed
this time, there's only china to blame
I say freeze all the assets owned by china we can, including their holdings of treasury notes, then sue the crap out of them in a new york city courtroom
according to investopedia, as of early 2020, the Chinese held 1.1 trillion of our debt
yeah the Chinese will respond , but they have already stolen the know-how of everything we manufacture or sell over there

And you think giving the Fed and Treasury (which is the President basically) more power to print money and hand it out to whom ever he sees fit is the answer?
Remember, Trump will not be President forever....hell he may be gone in 8 months. You want Biden with this power?

wtf, it just seems we have escaped the bounds of normal supply and demand rules when it comes to us printing money
maybe its just for a time or maybe its because of our power otherwise, so our currency accepted
maybe its that every other country or amalgamation of countries are issuing their own stimulus packages and that makes us still ok on a relative basis
I don't know, my feelings are still being developed in this area, but it is weird how we can continue and continue to pile on the debt, with little consequence so far
but like the famous old fire and brimstone sermon, 'pay day, some day" says, we might be heading for a comeuppance

EL- +1
Just DPST propaganda.
Ftw does indeed want Biden to have the power.
Biden is so far gone he has no idea of the consequences of the Presidential "football" - he'll activate it to see a "Game"!

the Republicans rail against Socialism, but when it comes to big handouts, they are at the front of the line.
