Senators want WNBA to be on equal pay with the NBA.
Senators want to know why WNBA Players don’t make the same money as NBA players.

The article hits one point that is very true. The very best team that the WNBA could put together would get beaten severely by any top high school boys team.

The NBA already financially carries the WNBA. NBA players also have a regular season over twice as long, and play best of seven (as opposed to best of 3 or 5) for postseason. Never mind the huge disparity in money generated. Women's basketball just isn't a big draw outside of some college campuses like UConn, Tennessee, Notre Dame and a very few others.

the reason is obvious. revenue. women's sports don't generate it. they get paid what their sports earn, no more. possibly only women's tennis and golf generate enough to come sort of close to men's sport in those same areas.
now let's be totally sexist shall we? and realistic. what do you think you could get in revenue on pay-per-view for women's naked Croquet?
give it a year and the women would be making huge dollars. that's because men would watch it. men don't watch women's sports. women don't watch women's sports. that's why they don't make the big bucks.

What little boy doesn't want a Tom Brady or Patrick Mahonnes jersey for Christmas? What little girl wants to go to school wearing a Rapinoe shirt? Merchandising, the big money maker for the leagues. Posters, bobble heads, shoes, cereal boxes.... 9 billion a year for the NBA.

They are complaining about the wrong thing. They should demand NBA teams be half women and half men!

Not a bad idea. And at any given moment, two of the three on the court must be female.
And since we will be in full political correct mode, how about Trans Sexuals getting to choose which gender they will play. Under.

whats gonna happen when women aren't playing women's sports?
you know a high school aged boys scoccer team out of dallas beat the the world champion womens team like a drum in pre tournament tune up games
but the call for equal pay for wnba players fits nicely with socialism, take the money from the team owner, oops, I mean team governors and since the governors of wnba teams barely make anything, if at all, then take the money from the nba players and governors
but better still there should be a federal government bureau that receives tax money to distribute to women from all walks of life to make sure women earn the average of men in any respective field

I would purchase the pay per view.. Bobby Riggs/Billie Jean King 45 years later! Evil Knieval re-visited! the Fabulous Moo-lah and Gorilla Monsoon!
the 1970's was free-wheeling. we could never put that competition on today. although it could heal racial divisions slightly, when Trump invites that Black High School team to the White House

The only Female Sport worth watching and worthy of any significant revenue is Women's Roller Derby. It's fast paced, generally hot chicks wearing skimpy shorts, getting into fights. I am surprised it's not more popular.
