Vegas Recommendations
I am going to Vegas this weekend (Thursday - Monday) with my gf and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for attractions to go see or places to go eat. We won't be going to any clubs as she isn't into the "sin" side of Sin City. I will be going back in October on "business" and will have plenty of time for that then. hahaha...
I have been a few times over the years, mostly on business, and have done a few things (fremont street lights), forum shops in Caesars, a few of the strip clubs, bellagio fountains, etc. But I really didn't do a lot outside of the business agenda for the trip and gambling (I love blackjack -- my other favorite BJ).
She has only been once before (I took her in December) and we saw a couple of shows (phantom of the opera & peep show). We are going to see Celine Dion & Criss Angel this time.
What else would be recommended? I plan to get my 10-15 hours of gambling in, but I figure we'll have a free evening to otherwise go explore...
Thanks & any suggestions are appreciated!

If your gf is with you, Zumanity is a show you shouldn't miss. It is at New York New York and is a cirque de soliel show on human sexuality. Cool show. I've seen it twice with an atf retired provider who traveled with me there a couple of times. We even ended up on stage - pretty cool. Spend the extra bucks for the couch seating. Great show and you're guaranteed to get laid afterwards!
If you and the SO have the desire to make it to a strip club, go to Seamless. Classy place and good private room. We made it there a couple of times as well. A word to the wise . . . leave home without it and lock up the AMEX card! After the third bottle of champagne in the private area, it all became a blur of tits, pussy and alcohol. Megabucks were spent unnecessarily. If your gf is bi -- its another guaranteed way to get lots of attention and get laid.
Have fun! Can I come carry the suitcases?

Love is one of the most enjoyable of the cirque shows! Outstanding music. If the gf enjoys the edgy sexiness, Love is only a close 2nd to Zumanity.

Zumanity may be the place to go... She definitely is not up for a strip club, but hey, I can do that in October. lol
No way in hell I am getting in a roller coaster on top of a building -- I wouldn't even ride one that's grounded. That's akin to jumping out of a perfecting functioning airplane!
I'm more of an 80's rock person than beatles, so I probably will skip that!
Also, Jewel might have to be looked up in October!
Thanks all -- 23 hours to take off!

BTW, the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere is Top of the World. I've had a couple of really good meals there - surprising since normally those tend to be tourist trap dining.
The steak house at Bellagio is also very good -Delmonico's, I believe.
If you like raw oysters, there's a fabulous Oyster Bar in Harrahs adjacent to their Italian restaurant. Bistro style as you can sit at the bar and watch the chef's. If Joel is there, he'll treat you right.
Too many places, too little time! Have fun and let us know how the trip goes. Enjoy Zumanity - bet you get laid!

I lived in Lost Wages for a while when I first got back from VietNam. It was very different then. The "big" restaurants were way overdone and everything else was cheap eats. That was then... This is now.
Celebrity chefs all have restaurants there and you can find great eats from small cafe's to top of the line names. Take money with you, the bargains of yesteryear are gone unless you pre-purchase your meal at the gaming tables. I like Bellagio a lot ( I think the that the curvature of the earth comes into play getting from one end of the casino to the other.) Venice and Paris are a hoot for the shopping arcades. Someone made a bunch of money putting in those animated ceilings.
Could not agree more about Cirque. Even the ones they do not intend to be that way are erotic. I still have dreams about the 4 Asian contortionists making shapes that gave me ideas - well fantasies actually.
As fun as it is though, I have always thought that if there truly are hostile aliens circling the planet and thinking of invading, I hope they land in Vegas. They would just look around and go "Naaah, too weird. Let's go find a normal planet to plunder."
Come to think of it, I am going to be there in a couple of months. I may have to go see Jewel. After all, it meets my 500 miles away from home criteria for safety and privacy- and her photos are nothing short of inspiring!

wow, where to begin. Being a regular visitor, I know much of it depends on your personal taste. Blue Man Group is a great show to add to the list others have mentioned.
I like to simply explore and see what I stumble across. You can spend a whole day exploring all the resorts on the Strip, then go back to spend more time with your favorites. Theres lots to discover away from the Strip too.
