When I moved to Austin in 1992, I had not clue as to its political nature. Didn't care then and I don't care now. Great live music. Good food. Vibrant. Nice weather. Close to Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.

I've never been to Austin but I've heard it's quite nice. The State of Texas is booming Economically, Socially, Politically. Austin is definitely one Texas City that is leading the pack.

Texas is so big every corner is different. There is something for everyone. I've been to Houston a few times Orange, and Beaumont. Beaumont similar to Louisiana.

Right. Some ridiculous personal opinions based on fractured reasoning. Austin is far from perfect but it is WAY better than most other cities its size. I should have added that Austin has a very low crime rate and the rise in median home prices has soared, meaning I have made quite a bit of money on my house investment. Tough to get into the housing market though.

When you arrived in 1992 it was already infested with whining, socialist, liberal want-a-be's that perceived Austin as the technologically innovative Mecca that coddled to the "strange" segment of our society that drowned their discomfort with unmentionable substances and publicly displayed anti-social behavior .... "birds of a feather flocked together" in Austin. That's why a drunkard DA was re-elected.
