What happens if we actually want to advertise on that site and they already have our handle/name in their system, but we of course can't log in because we don't have a password. So we create another similar handle and that leads to duplicates. Just like here, some people get bad reviews and create a new user name to get around that fact. So the numbers are VERY inaccurate.

you might want to double check your math, I think it's 1% of the population not 1/10th %. if 1/2 of the Dallas population was female that takes the total to 2% of all females in the city, or 1 in 50 females, that can't be right that's too high.

The numbers may be inflated due to duplicate counts, not to mention the many different phone number and phones that are used and changed by a person. One provider can use serveral numbers/phones and are probably counted as multiple people. There is no way that it can be accurate.

Well let's put that "small number" idea to a different comparative.... about 2.5-3% of the population is LGBTQ... seems to me like you can't swing a dead cat without bumping into someone with those preferences... (Doesn't bother me, just stating how visible they are)

The reason gay issues are more visible is because these issues are, for the most part, glaringly unfair; while prostitution is considered illegal and has no moral or legal standing.

So if you consider all the closeted gay people, there appears to be way more LGBT people than providers.

1. If they're closeted, how the hell would I know?
2. I won't argue with you - it was a commentary about the "general amount of people in the mix" which means, in a bar of 100 (on average, I say 3, you say 4... , ay further difference like the .5% or .2% are impossible unless an LGBTQ dwarf is present)
3. The numbers are still relatively close, and it doesn't change the context of the dialog... there's not like "35% are LGBTQ people", and the average person sees them everywhere... you obviously for the reasons you stated, agree.
